Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a 4 years (8 semesters) B.E. course in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The department has well experienced faculty members.

To achieve excellent standards of quality education by keeping pace with rapidly changing technologies and to create technical manpower of global standards in mechanical engineering with capabilities of accepting new challenges.

Mission

  1. To create competent professionals who are trained in the design, analysis and implementation of Mechanical Engineering and contribute towards the advancement of engineering, science and technology.
  2. To impart quality and value based education to raise satisfaction in Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Girish D P
Obtained B.E (Mechanical Engineering) from Bangalore University in 1993, M.Tech (Maintenance Engineering) from Mysore University in 1997 and Ph.D. (Composites & Hard Facing) from Bangalore University in 2007. Before joining GEC Mosale Hosahalli, he served at KIT Tiptur in various capacities from 1993-2005, Has a Professor and Head at SRSIT Bangalore from 2005 - 2008, Has a Professor and Head at RREC Bangalore from 2008, Has a Principal at KIT, Kodaikanal from 2008-2010, Has a Professor and Head at GEC Karwar, Has Professor and Head at GEC Ramanagara from 2010-2021 and Has Professor and Head at GEC Mosale Hosahalli from 2021 to till date . His areas of interest are Composite Materials. He has 28 years of teaching experience along with the research.

Dr.Rajanna S.

B.E., M.E., Ph.D., Assistant Professor (Group-A) Qualification: Dr.Rajanna S did his B.E. from SIT, Tumkur, M.E from UVCE,Bangalore University and Ph.D. from Bangalore University in March 2011. He has more than 23 years of Teaching experience and has worked in SJCIT, Chickballapur, Channabasaweshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar and presently working in Government Engineering College, Mosale Hosalli, Hassan. His areas of interest include Materials, Welding and Biofuels. He has guided 3 and is guiding 5 Phd scholars. He has published 65 journals and presented 42 papers in Conferences and has 01 patent to his credit. He has organized and attended various seminars, workshops and FDP’s. He has delivered Technical Talks in various institutions and has chaired in conferences as well. Also, he has served as member of BOS, Doctoral committee and DTE Inquiry Committee and Ex-Committee member of Institution of Engineer(India) He has been awarded best Research Supervisor in the year 2021 and also has received best paper awards for his various publications. He is also a reviewer of various reputed journals.

Before joining GEC Mosale Hosahalli, he served at KIT, Tiptur from 1997-2010 and GEC Hassan from 2010 - 2021.
